Lake County
Lake Erie East's coastal meeting oasis

Consider Lake County Ohio a specialist – a specialist in small- to medium-sized conferences, retreats, seminars, board meetings, weddings and family reunions.

Break the habit of the same old meeting location year after year. Your colleagues, friends and family will be delighted and surprised with Lake County’s meeting venues.

Your reward will be a more productive, better attended and relaxed function, not to mention an improved image for your meeting planning skills.

Technology and the restraints of a challenging economy will never replace the positive results of meetings with face-to-face networking.

Lake County’s refined array of unique, affordable meeting venues start just 15 minutes east of Cleveland, off Interstate 90.

For larger functions, Lake County offers Quail Hollow Resort with 176 rooms, 15,000 square feet of meeting space and 22 meeting/event room options. Located on 700 acres, the golf resort featuring two 18-hole designer courses has undergone a recent $17 million renovation, adding the Quail Hollow Clubhouse.

The elegant, executive Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites LaMalfa is a multi-functional facility with 60,000 square feet of meeting space, 84 luxurious suites and seven penthouses.

The $1.7 million renovated Radisson Hotel & Suites Cleveland/Eastlake offers 18,000 square feet of meeting space, with a 5,644-square-foot grand ballroom totaling 11 meeting room options, 148 rooms and eight suites.

The Ramada Plaza offers 194 rooms and 10,000 square feet of exhibit space.

The charming, 50-room Lawnfield Inn & Suites is a hybrid B & B/boutique hotel with meeting space.

Stadium suites, a covered picnic plaza and terrace, as well as party decks are available at the $27 million Classic Park, where the Lake County Captains Class A Cleveland Indians team plays.

New hotels like the Hampton Inn (next to LaMalfa) and Baymont Inn & Suites (close to Quail) offer nearby overflow options.

Lake County excels with elegant, unusual, impressive venues.

Lake Metroparks offers an array of scenic meeting and special-event settings, from Lake Metroparks Farmpark to the renovated Pine Ridge Country Club and Golf Course.

Holden Arboretum, one of the USA’s largest, features a new, breathtaking meeting room with a glass wall vista onto the gardens. Holden’s Lantern Court Mansion has a just-renovated atrium setting perfect for meetings and events with gardens and patio settings, all with catering options.

Mooreland Mansion, also recently renovated, is a grand mansion with high-tech conference and catering facilities on the tranquil setting of the Lakeland Community College campus in Kirtland.

Lake Erie College also offers numerous facilities such as the Mathews House Mansion.

Wildwood Mansion in Lake County’s largest city, Mentor, was designed by a relative of President Garfield and is nestled in a park setting for a tranquil meeting.

How about a retreat at one of the Lake County region’s wineries? Debonné Vineyards, Grand River Cellars and nearby Ferrante Winery & Ristorante all feature cozy, refined meeting rooms amidst a Napa Valley setting. Now Debonné serves its own craft-brewed beer in Cellar Rats Winery, made by brewer Brian Burns.

Quite a bit of business, as well as relaxation, happens on the links and in the clubhouse. Lake County has the largest concentration of designer/championship courses in Ohio. Most have meeting facilities and catering available. Lake County even has the USA’s only youth regulation course, Little Thunder in Madison, geared toward youth and family occasions.

Lake County ’s distinctive restaurants, including Gavi’s, Molinari’s, Bistro 70, Pickle Bill’s, John Palmer’s, Rider’s Inn and the Willoughby Brewing Company, offer private meeting rooms and exquisite cuisine.

For further relaxation, Lake County has an experienced group of Lake Erie charter captains for trophy fishing on the east side of Lake Erie.

Change is good. Resolve to meet in Lake County, Lake Erie East’s coastal getaway oasis for relaxing, productive, successful events.

Lake County, one of Ohio’s most prosperous areas, values and appreciates meeting business. Affordability, lower taxes and superb hospitality will impress your clients and guests and make you look and feel good too.
